Framed artwork should be displayed in a stable environment, away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, moisture, or rapid changes in temperature and humidity. These conditions help preserve both the artwork and the framing materials over time.

Handling should be kept to a minimum, and frames should be lifted from the sides rather than the top rail. If artwork needs to be moved, it is best to transport it upright or flat, face up, and well supported to avoid placing unnecessary stress on the hinges holding the artwork in place or on the frame corners.

Routine care typically involves light dusting. When necessary, the frame surface may be wiped gently with a mild detergent and warm water, taking care to avoid excess moisture. Glazing should always be cleaned by applying cleaner to a lint-free cloth—never directly to the glazing—to prevent liquid from seeping into the frame and potentially damaging the matting or artwork.

For long-term care or specific concerns, we are always happy to offer guidance based on the materials and construction of your frame.
